‘Shore-based personnel engaged in the transport of dangerous goods intended to be transported by sea shall be trained in the contents of dangerous goods provisions commensurate with their responsibilities’ Persons not yet trained shall only operate under the direct supervision of a trained person until training has been completed. Reference: 1.3.1.1. of the IMDG code.

This course will enable you to interpret the IMDG Regulations regarding the transport of Dangerous Goods by Sea, including Classification, Packaging, Marking & Labelling and Documentation. Vehicle and Container Markings & Placarding, Vehicle Documentation, Emergency Information, Limited & Excepted Quantities.
The training shall be periodically supplemented with refresher training to take account of changes in regulations.
A Certificate of Competence valid for 24 months will be issued to those who pass the assessment.
