IATA – Dangerous Goods by Air Training

The UK Civil Aviation Authority requires that those involved in the shipment, packing, and acceptance of consignments of dangerous goods by air transport to be successfully trained at an approved course. MES Consultancy and Training are approved to conduct initial and refresher training, the course is approved to meet the legal requirements.years.

Those personnel who are already qualified must revalidate within 24 months of the last certification, a test which entitles successful candidates to a certificate of competence which is valid for 24 months.  There is a provision for a 3-month “window” that allows for recurrent training conducted within the final 3 months of the 24 month period to be considered to have been completed on the expiry month of the 24 month period.

Under IATA Regulations, through a CAA Approved training programme, MES is qualified to instruct in all areas except Radioactives. MES partners with an IATA Accredited Radioactive Instructor who can complete the Class 7 Radioactive course on our behalf.  Whether you require full CAA qualified staff in the areas of Shipping or Accepting Dangerous Goods or just awareness training under any of the other Categories of the personnel under Table 1.5.A. of IATA, MES is able to complete this for you.
