Fork Lift Plant Operators
The current Approved Code of Practice for Rider Operated Forklift Trucks required that employers must ensure that all persons operating equipment, (including forklift trucks) on their premises have received adequate training. We have therefore designed courses for both novice and more experienced operators for the following equipment: –
- Forklift Trucks
- Counterbalance
- Reach
- Order pickers
- POET
The duration of our training would depend on the individuals experience, and competency in operating the truck, as follows:
Novice
Designed for persons with little or no forklift operator experience. We look to deliver the maximum amount of practice and highlight good operator techniques, giving the operator the confidence to work safely whilst operating a forklift truck in the workplace.
Duration: 2-5days
Experienced Operators
Designed for more experienced operators, that may have little or no formal training, but have regularly been operating a forklift truck.
Duration: 1-2days
Refresher Training
Designed to keep all operators upto a safe standard of forklift operation. It is strongly recommended that refresher training be completed every 3years, inline with HSEs recommendations.
